I recently inherited my grandfathers Sevens 820b 12ga shotgun. I had it checked out by a gunsmith to see if it was still in working condition and they said it was in great condition. Just needed and good cleaning after sitting for 20 years. They also said not to shoot Steel or anything higher the 1200 velocity out of it because it has a full choke on it. I’m just wondering if anyone has heard any different?
Also what low velocity non steel ammo would you recommend?

I wouldn't worry about the velocity so much as the steel shot shells. Just use lead.
Any target load or regular 2 3/4" hunting load would be fine. I would only keep the velocity low for my sake not so much the gun, although the steel will hold up, 65+ year old wood may not.
820s are not that common, but sure are ugly looking guns.
Got any pictures you could share?

Thanks for the feed back! Yeah, not a good looking gun remember it shooting pretty good about 20 years ago.
