I received a Steven Model 94 Series P 20 gauge from a friend. It was alittle beat up and I know it can't be worth more than $50 but I am trying to find out the Manufacture Year. I know that it is made by Savage Arms because it says "SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD MASS. USA" on? the barrel. The Serial # is E055819.. .Can someone help me??

As I understand it the 94 p is the same as a 9478 which was manufactured from 1978-1985. As far as I know there's no serialization charts avaialbe to pin it down to a specific year.

thanks... alot of people where telling me that is was produced mid 40's but i didn't believe it. It didn't have the 1xx.xxxx number so I know it wasn't a SEARS gun. Do you think I could call Savage Arms to find out for sure?
