Hi, I just received a super x model 1 it's my first shot gun it was given to me by my uncle he says he thinks it was my grandfathers and can't remember the last time anyone shot it.
I have googled it and can't find any photos of a similar one to the one I have looks to be all stainless steel.
Any information you can give me about the gun would be appreciated
Photos can be seen here

If you do a search on superXone on the Winchester forum you will get all the reading you can stand on the SX1. One point to be aware of, make sure you put a new bolt buffer in it before you shoot it.

Also look up at the permanent posts at the top of this forum for SX1 type threads, lots of good info there.

I had a Super X that had a nitrided receiver. As with many of my guns, I regret selling it. It had a nitride receiver, chrome magazine tube, and a Bob Baumgarten (sp ?) trigger.
