I'm new to the forums and have a question about the Supernova. First off, I currently have a H&R Pardner Pump 12 gauge that I've used for Sporting Clays for the past three years. It's been pretty reliable which was surprising for how cheap it was but now I'm ready to move up to something better, I plan on using this gun for Sporting Clays and for hunting. Is the Supernova worth the extra $100? What length barell should I get? Thanks in advance.

Is a Benelli auto in your price range? Is that TOO much of a "step up" from the pump you already have? The SN is great but the pump makes sporting clays a little harder, not impossable though. A nova is what I learned on for years.

It is great for waterfoul though.

28" barrel for sporting

24"-26" for hunting if you plan on treking through lots of brush. Otherwise 28" is a good overall length for hunting and clays.

There are good autos from $500 to $1000 depending on where you live.
