Do any of you shoot a sxs for waterfowl? I love the classic looks of a sxs and I enjoy shooting my nice 16ga. sxs very much for upland, so why not use a sxs 12ga. for waterfowl like legions of hunters used to do eh? (no I'm not from Canada If you do use a sxs, what is it? Can it handle steel?

Ayuh...

I use a Springfield 511 SxS for everything including ducks and geese...

I have never asked it if it likes steel or not...I just shoot it with steel and have not had any signs of bad things...No barrel bulge...No signs of pressure...

Sure - the Kent Tungsten Matrix loads for the 16ga are about $12/box which is about as cheap as you'll find for nontoxic shot. OK to use iin any sxs gun short of damascus steel. While you may not want to put a nice sxs down in the mud, it should do very nicely.
