Here is a few Pics that I have without taking apart this gun. This gun was given to my father in law year ago by a hunter he guided. I don't want to take it apart if I don't have too. It is missing parts and not shootable. It was a gift and will now be a wall hanger from now on. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

H.J. Sterling was a tradename used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Chicago on several different Belgian imports.
Your gun was made by H. Pieper and the Red Deer head carved stock and inlaid shield were fairly common
