I'm looking for a 20 ga. double to serve as:
1) My go-to cottontail and upland gun; and
2) Recreational skeet gun (around 100-200 rounds per month)
I'm less concerned with fit/finish and more concerned with long-term reliability. I just can't justify the cost of a Beretta or a Browning, so I'm thinking of a used Ithaca or a new Baikal.
How do the Baikals hold-up down the road (I'm thinking in comparison to some of the supposedly "soft" foreign (Turkish, Brazillian) guns on the market)? I really don't want a gun that will wear-out on me. If this might be a porblem, please tell me now.
Is the 20 ga. built on a smaller frame or is it a 12 ga. frame? Are they in the appropriate weight league for a 20 ga. or are they on the heavy side? Thanks
