I've been reading the forum like a maniac for several days...I got my first taste of bustin' little clay thingies a few days ago and was instantly hooked.
I have a decent collection of hunting and target rifles and handguns and several pump 12 ga and one single shot 20 ga. But I knew absolutely nothing about O/U's until I started reading this forum. So first...thanks to you guys for providing quality info and honest input.
Today I went to Sports Academy and purchased a Yildiz SPZ ME in 12/3" mag with 28" brrl. After reading what everyone had to say about the Yildiz, I figured that it would be a well spent $385.
Okay, now for the newby questions (the book is like worthless).
1. Which barrel fires first...upper or lower?
2. Is there anyway to change the order of 1 above?
3. I assume that once it is loaded and the breech is closed, there is nothing to do but pull the trigger?
4. 3 chokes came separately (marked with lines). The narrowest pattern would be the single line. Which would be closest to a skeet choke? Can I get a skeet choke from Briley? What the heck is a skeet choke?
5. Last dumb question for now...it is a 3" mag but should handle 2 3/4's fine...correct?
Respectfully, Bill...my friends call me Sax
