I am looking for a 45cal. muzzleloader barrel for a thompson center contender rifle, it is not a g2 frame the SN on the frame is 34188. The barrel that I have is 20 in. 17cal Rem. I have checked with Thompson Center and they are not making a 45cal. muzzleloader barrel anymore,looking for some help. Ray

You might go over to http://www.shootingworld.com/ and ask there, though unless you are really lucky, my bet is you will end up buying another gun before finding a barrel.

Do a google search for Thompson Center barrels, there are alot of hits there.

If you are refering to those aftermarket Geonic muzzleloading barrels for the Contenders they are pretty pricey and scarce. You could probably get used Encore muzzleloader in either 45 or 50 for the price they are asking for those barrels.

I looked at them once and got the Encore instead.
