Trap/Skeet shooting in Charleston, SC?

817 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  TonyG
Hello all,

I have recently moved to Charleston, SC, and I wonder if any of the users on this forum can recommend a range/club within driving distance for some shooting?

I'm a foreigner working in the U.S. for a limited time period, so I need to borrow/rent a gun as well, since I didn't bring my own.

I'm still a beginner to this fine sport, but I really enjoy it, and I hope to be able to practise and learn some more from any experienced shooters out there.

Feel free to give me a note in this tread, on my personal email [email protected] or even on 843-819-7980 if you have some information to give me.

Thanks in advance,

I lived there for about 10 years and shot a few times at the skeet range located on the Air Force base.

There are not many good gun shops there but there was one toward West Ashley. Had a knowledgable fellow there who owned a Purdey. I can not remember the name of the store.
Check out the following websites. Each should have a list of clubs by states that offer registered trap and/or skeet targets. You may need to check if ranges are open to the public on non-registered days.
