Of the clay target sports named I prefer sporting but I just fell in love with FITASC, it is really a hoot!! Too bad the cost is about 25% more than sporting and pretty much found at major tourneys only.
Heck, I like them all! They are all just enough different to be interesting and enough the same to be addicting! My favorite is what I am doing at the time. I really like Sporting clays, but, no, Trap is challanging, wait, Skeet is, is, is Skeet, and 5 stand can be really exciting depending on who is running the traps. I like to keep it moving with 5 stand. Ready-pull! By that I mean, be ready, cause when the puller is ready, he is going to pull! Shoot from low gun! You can get through a set in a hurry and get some real exciting shooting that way. Where I usually shoot 5 stand that's important. We start at 2:00 and shoot till well untill we are either too tired to lift the shotgun or it is too dark to see, all for $20 a head! You can't beat a deal like that now can you??
If you find trap boring you might try from 27yds with really light loads (internationals or featherweights). It will either provide enough challenge to keep you interested or frustrate you into submission.
I can't believe that out of 207 views only 27 people voted for thier favorite clay game    Come on people, No-one here bites (atleast in the literal since) and how can we find out what you are thinking if you don't play along. I'll get down off of my soap box now, I've got shells to load.
5-Stand...when it's designed & run well. By that, I mean:
1) experienced trapper, that knows his layout AND his shooters
2) " , that can speed the game along:easy shooters' rhythm; fast-paced action; shooters get in, get out faster, and good for the spectators
3) Flexibility of layout and the menu (incl. improv), allowing for permutations/substitutions (at trapper's discretion) should there be mechanical problem or inexperienced shooter problem...again, to keep the game moving along, as well as running a menu suitable to that shooter's ability
4) Lots of traps (we've got 9), to allow for more variability
5) New look every shoot, to keep things fresh
6) Fast birds...makes for great practice, and understanding fully the lead concept, etc.
Maybe I'm biased...because I run one like this....sorry!
FITASC is great fun, but I will never fire another round at it, and next year when COMPAC takes the place of 5 stand that will do it for that as well, I won't support the F-French in any form or fashion, or be governed by them  :x :x
I've talked to folks from the UK, Australia, NZ, Spain and the USA, none particularly like it but won't do anything to tell the F-French what they can do with it and us start our own form of the game :x
I shoot them all, and sporting is the most difficult for me to get to, but is my choice.
