I am looking for an over and under. I like the balance and feel of the Beretta 682 sporting 32". However, I would like to casually shoot trap as well as use in the field. Would also like an adjustable comb. Other than the weight and being balanced heavy in the front what disadvantage is there to using a trap model in the field??

Just know where the pattern is.Most trap guns shoot high due to the nature of the game. With most field guns the game is covered with the barrel and the trigger pulled.

Some of the best trap shooters I know that hunt also shoot a trap gun for hunting. Once you know where your gun shoots why mess with other ones. Their not carrying around $6-8,000 guns in the bush with them but they are trap guns and shoot to the same POI as their comp. grade guns.
