Hey ya'll,

I have quick question for you guys. I have a Lanber 2087 shotgun and the trigger is beating the living crap out of my finger. Every time I pull the trigger my finger slides across the trigger face and gets banged up. Specifically the bottom of the end of my trigger finger. It is quite painful and shooting doubles only hurts more.

I can't figure out what the heck is going on. I don't know if it's the fit of the gun, or if it's the trigger itself, or if it's just how I hold and shoot the gun. All I know is that this is the only gun that has ever done this for me and I hate it so much that I am contemplating selling this gun. Have you guys ever heard of a problem like the one I have and if so do you know how it was fixed. I really need to fix this problem because I can't even shoot 4 rounds of skeet comfortably and since I am going to start shooting registered soon this is a problem that I need to fix.

Thanks,
Jon

Your the first guy I have heard of that had this problem with there Lanber. Lanber does do a nice job on there trigger as it has a nice radius and is very smooth. The only way I can see you could have your finger slip off is if you are just using the tip of your finger. I have the 2097 and have no problems !!!

So let me see if i get this correct. Your finger slides --Is it sliding down the trigger? or up the trigger? or back out of the trigger/or thru the trigger housing?how much of your finger are you resting on the trigger? using just the tip of your finger?ever tried using gloves? Golf gloves work great.

It is sliding through the trigger (I'm right handed and the finger slides across the trigger from right to left) and I am using the tip of my trigger finger. I hate shooting in gloves.

Ive never heard of that happening to anybody with any gun, your probaly pulling the trigger wrong
This is the only conclusion that I can come too as well, but this is the first gun that this has ever happened with out of the many guns that I have owned and shot. No other gun that I have ever used has given me this problem so I have no clue what I am doing wrong.

Jon,
Have ya let any one else shoot it? It may be just your way of shooting. Let someone else shoot it for a couple of rounds.See if its doing the same to them. You may get someone that shoots with ya to observe your "style". There are usually a couple of instrucor types around.

I came across the same problem this weekend. I shot a round of skeet with my buddy's Rem 1132 and the trigger/guard irritated me greatly. I have never had that problem before. Perhaps it's just the way that the gun fits you. My buddy has no problems with it. :?:
