hi again

In a previous post I thanked all for their opinions and bought
a tristar 12 gauge o/u

Well the gun arrived at my ffl today (ordered from cdnn)
and man is this a great looking gun for the money.
And as expected all the parts are very tight to start with but
I expect things will loosen up nicely after I fire a few rounds.
Wood work was awesome - I took a pic but was unable to post as I am new to this board.

with all the various talk and tristarsportingarms.com web site
I thought this gun would be made in Spain or Italy - instead the model 333 was made in turkey by Uzumlu under the direction of the Mint Engineering Company.

Action is "boxlock design" and made of 4140 steel

according to the manual these guns are factory proofed at 1200
BAR pressure and will handle 3" shells

Have not fired it yet but will report back when I do.

I've been looking for a side by side for upland and sporting clays that isn't too pricey. How much was your tristar?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a reliable side by side that doesn't cost a whole lot? I would prefer a double trigger but the gun itself doesn't have to look pretty or anything.

I read something about a Huglu? Any comments?

Did you ever find a value for your Uzumlu Shotgun? Are you happy with the Shotgun? I have two Uzumlu's (12 and 20 ga) that I brought back from Turkey. I'm trying to find out what they're worth. I'd appreciate any information you might have about Uzumlu Shotguns. Thanks much.

Hi rick
I love this gun and would not sell it. You might find the info you want by looking at the auction sites that sell guns like auction arms and gunbroker.

You dreged up an 8 year old thread that hasn't had a new post in more than 6 years. None of the posters are current "regulars" around here... you might be better served starting a new thread of your own.

Those Tristar guns are best values. I saw the new "BT99 clone" (something I disagree with), they are very high quality (as is the browning like case they come in) and seem to do well on the trap arena. I want the G2 sporting really bad.
