Trying to ID a Franchi O/U - model "400"?

Hi all,

I first posted this question in the Clays section, but I should have started here, instead.

I'm trying to get any info I can about a Franchi over/under. I think it's a "400" only because it had "Franchi 400" engraved on the receiver. The receiver was nicely engraved and it had very nice wood.

It's a pure skeet gun: 28" bbl, choked cyl/cyl, low-rib with a mid-rib bead.

I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere online, so I'm wondering if perhaps "400" isn't really the model number, or perhaps it was never produced in large quantities.

While I'm looking for any general information anyone may have, I'm especially looking to find out whether I can shoot steel shot through it or not. If I could just find that out, I'd be okay with having the rest be a mystery :D

thanks!

Answered my own question:

The Franchi 400 is the steel receiver version of the Franchi 451. It was made between 1975 and 1978. The weight is about 6 lbs. 15 oz. It's full name is the Franchi Peregrine Model 400.
We're here to serve ;)
Do you still have the 400? I ask because I own one myself... I know this is an old post but either way.
