Hi , I'm new to the list . A friend of mine inherited a
16 gauge single barrel shotgun and we can't figure out
the brand . The name looks like it was on the side but
has almost all worn off . It looks like it ends in ue but
I cant be sure . It has pat. May 14 , 1901 and 16 gauge
choke on the barrel . The numbers 7119 are behind the trigger guard . Any help is appreciated .

Thanks ,

Bill

I can't help you much with the brand but you should have the chamber measured on such an old gun. Most early 16ga chambers were 2 9/16 or 2 1/2 inch and modern shells produce too much pressure for them. Take the gun to a good smith and have it checked out.
