I was thinking of buying an automate for my 9000g. But with the purchase of the link kit and the upgraded new style primer tray I could sell the 9000e for $325 in very good shape, and buy an assembled factory new unit for $895. what do you guys think.
Here's the real story. You can convert the press you have for $88 and change, plus shipping, and purchase the Auto-Mate for $540 plus shipping. Thats $628 plus shipping. Compared to the new press and Automate at $895, that's a difference of $267 in expenditure. Probably all you are going to get for the 9000G anyway. You could probably get $325 for a 9000 GN, but not a plain G.
So if you sold the 9000G for $275, and paid $895 for the new press and Automate, that would be an expendature of $620 plus shipping. $620 compared to $628 is really a wash, and you would have a new press instead of a used one.
No Brainer. Sell the old press and purchase the new equipment.
