There's a 12ga Valmet older O/U at a local shop for $300.00. It has a polychoke Vent Rib, fixed chokes (Mod and I/C I think), no bluing on the belly, nice "antiqued' patina over the rest of the gun. Probably 80-85% overall. Stock has nice wood but a crappy refinish on it. Tight as drum when closed but rather loose when opened. It has a unique top latch locking mechanism for the barrels. Marked "Made in Finland". Barrels look good inside.

Any opinions?

the valmet if older is a lion model if so there should be a lion on the side of the receiver. or the gun could be a savage 330 or 333 made by valmet and it will say so on the receiver.i like the savage best.both guns are very strong and bullet proof. the closing is the same as krieghoff k32 or remington 3200. for $300.00 you can't go wrong,if it is a later model it will say model 412.good luck. whiz630
