I may be on the slow train here, but a buddy of mine just pointed out that Webley Scott is now making O/U's. This is strange to me for two reasons: First WS has always been a double gun company and second, didn't they go under back in the 50's or 60's? Does anybody know anything about these guns and "who" is actually making them these days and where?
I see them new for about $900. My thought is that there is no way on God's green earth that anything out of England costs $900, especially from a company that has been around since 1790. I'm thinking someone bought the rights to the name and is now turning out guns again. But from where? Are they any good? They seem to have the hallmarks of decent guns, chrome lined bore, barrels rated for steel shot, 10 mm rib and so on. Scratching my head on this one.
