Gas or Inertia is better than Long Recoil (akin to Auto 5's) as far as shot recovery.

The speed of the action isn't as important as getting back on target and Long Recoil has much more moving than Gas which has more moving then Inertia.

Unless you are a trick shooter trying to break the record of hand thrown targets broken before they hit the ground it doesn't matter.

Up until today, the last post on this one was dated Sep 13, 2003.

On the topic, IMHO the're all fast enough to get the job done for practical shooting, based on ownership of long recoil, gas and inertia operated guns from 1970 to the present.

Interesting as a discussion point..... but of absolutely no practical significance.

Unless you can acquire the next target and pull the trigger before the gun has cycled, it doesn't matter.
