Hi Jailbait--

The link JLP posted is great--it'll start you off right with thinking about chokes (always a subject of debate by the way, so you'll be right in the swing of things).

Possibly you already have this planned, but if I may make a suggestion, you should consider taking a gun safety / hunter safety course. Inquire at the local gun shop and I'm sure they'll steer you to one. The NRA gives really good courses. I take them--one as recently as last summer--and the knowledge and habits you acquire there will help make your shooting safe and fun.
