I just left a gun show here in the Washington DC area. A dealer has a used 870 Police Magnum shotgun for $229. It's smooth as silk...wood stock and forend!

Is that a good deal? I just recently bought a 870 Express but, I fell in love with this gun.

I need you guys to respond to me ASAP...if it's a good deal, I would pick it up.

that's exactly what happened to me. bought an express and saw a wingmaster police being traded on a new gun at the local gun shop. bought it right there. I paid a bit more than that, but I couldn't let that gun belong to someone else. It was in 99 percent condition as it had never been fired.

I think that gun new will cost no less than $600 so it sounds like a good deal. 870's don't wear out too easy, but how are the cosmetics?

That's just it! This gun is definitley not new but, cosmetically, it's a beauty. If I had to grade it, I would give it approx. 80 percent. The wood stock and forend have very little nicks and scratches.

I just asked my wife if I could get it. A quick NO was her response Give me some ammo to convince her. :lol:

I can't help you there... tell her you won't be home nights because you are splitting your time working at walmart for the holiday season or giving blood everyday for cash.

i dunno... you could sell the remainder of your extended warranty on a new car back for cash. volunteer for medical experiements...

Or... how 'bout promise to sell the express... and then don't because you will buy a longer barrel to take up trap shooting and hunting.

or... buy the police model for her christmas present... or bribe her with jewlery this year.

870's are common, but you won't find many if you are looking for them- murphy's law.
