Hope your skeet is coming along. Someone sent me a scanned .410" pattern intended for skeet. Its pellet distribution was just like any other pattern with ~300 pellets, i.e. no evidence of .410"s patterning worse than other shells. Also I analysed some .410" targets fired in ~1920. They seemed pretty well bahaved as well. I'll know for sure by the end of next year, but at the moment I'm of the view a .410" patterns similarly to any other gun just with less pellets which is what makes the patterns appear bad.
