hi Deadapair
I 'm passionate by snipes and woodcocks, but not so much by ducks. First I killed a lot of ducks when I was younger in those very social hunting parties, where you speak more of business than mushrooms or wildlife. Most of the ducks in France have been bred and overfed for hunt... and the real wild game birds, like tiles (teals ?) and so.. are hunted at night on special ponds. I don't like this way of hunting.
Snipes or jack snipes are full of surprise. It's true that I'm addict to the adrenaline they give you. It's so difficult each time and each bird is so different. It's a new challenge each time.
The same with woodcocks
Here is the last photo I took last week. A 3 month old pop of Korthal with the first woodcock of the year.
cute isn't it ?
