cleaning my stoeger m3000 this part fell off the gun. Either on the magazine or receiver. Could not find it in the manual schematic. made of plastic. thanks guys happy shooting.

Is that piece supposed to be free moving or permanently attached? I just fully stripped my new 3000 and that piece was loose too and could slide off if you want it to. Too hard to tell if it may have broken off. Gun reassembled fine but haven't shoot it yet.

I'm not sure I would have to strip it down to know . I think it should move it's been awhile .

Does it go between the spring and the receiver or the other end
