Based on your planned usage, I would recommend the 3" Magnum version with the synthetic stock. That should do everything you want it to do. No, I don't think you will regret not having the 3.5" version. If you can't hit 'em with a 3" Mag, then a few more pellets and more noise isn't likely to make any difference.
