I am a novice clay shooter. In shooting about 600 rounds so far, I have used citori 28" o/u's four times and 1100 & 1187 Remingtons four times shooting skeet. Why do the o/u's feel so light. The autoloaders may be a pound heavier, but they feel much heavier than that. Why is this?

The overall length of autoloaders and pumps compared to break action guns puts more weight in the front hand, making the guns feel heavier. The weight of an O/U is more evenly divided between the hands, giving the impression of better balance, which feels like less weight.

I have a Browning Citori with 28" barrels and it definitely does not feel lighter than my Franchi 612 or my brothers Benelli super black eagle. Try Rabbit hunting with it, I used my Browning for a rabbit hunt this last winter and by noon I had put it up and used the Franchi for the rest of the day.
