There are several reasons, but most common ones are guns that are too heavy.--- Stock dememsions that do not fit women.Not just lenght of pull, but also comb height and check fit.---- Loads too heavy. 1 oz. loads(7/8 in 20 ga.) are very effective and recoil is much more managable. ---The worst thing is having a lady "just shoot" the gun or at a stationary target. Too much time to "antisipate" recoil.-- Too many coaches. Find one(a boy friend or husband is often NOT the best choice) Find one and stick with them. Good coaching and a gun that fits with lower recoiling loads are all a plus to a lady beginner.
