Can anyone tell me how to find out what year my gun was made, and the value of it?
I think the serial no. is 279560
(That is the only no. I can find on the gun)
The gun is at least 45 years old.

i had one with the serial number 187139 that was made in 1919 so i would date yours to be 1920 or 1921.

the sheet I have shows 1922.
