I think I'm about to pull the trigger and order a sx4 3.5 12ga for my 11 year old son.

Any opinions.

It is a good, solid choice. Stick with camo and 26 inch.

What have you found to be the poi of Winchesters? I too have considered the SX4 left hand, but like a flat shooting gun. I believe I read from gunmart reviews that they shot high. Any real world experience would be appreciated.

I've tested several-- they shoot essentially to point of aim. My brother in law, an extremely experienced hunter, has one for the nasty, wet days, although he uses Citori Featherweights in 20, 16, and 12 gauge for most everything else, and still enjoys his old 870 Wingmaster.
