I purchased a Woodside new many years ago (very low serial number) and would like to get some information on this Ruger model. I was searching through some old threads and saw one that stated they were not made by Ruger. Can anyone confirm? Also, other than the oblivious inlay of the stock, what are the differences between the WS and the RL? I think if I remember correctly they are supposed to be back bored differently, the choke tubes are longer, but that's all I remember.

I do not know for certain, but I find it highly unlikely that the Woodside was imported by Ruger.
As far as chokes go, I looked on Ruger's website and as far as I can tell all the 12ga guns made after 1994 have the same part listed for their chokes.
I did not find anything to indicate that the back-bore was different from the other 12ga guns.

Here's the link to the guy that claims the Woodside was not made by Ruger. If I can get to it, I will measure the size of the choke tubes on my woodside to see how long they are.
