This is just to say "Good Job" to my friend Meredith who, in her 60s, decided to learn to hunt and did it by going to BOW (becoming an outdoors woman) events and reading etc. No mentor.
After a few years of trying she got her first deer, a button buck, while out by herself on the second day of season in NH. She just winged the field dressing and dragged the 80 lb buck 1/4 mile back to a cabin just as it was getting dark.
All I can say is I'm really proud of her and just sharing so you can all know that it is never too late to learn new things if you have a sense of adventure.
You go Meredith !!!
