If it helps/matters, the serial number begins with "PC". I bought it "never fired"/as new with the original green hard case, etc. Based on what I've gathered, that seems to indicate a June, 1982 manufacture date?

 

Just inspection stamps. If it were defective it would have never left the factory.

If it is an 1187, I doubt it was manufactured in 82.

Yeah, I wasn't really thinking when I looked that up/wrote that...I also noticed that PC is June 2008 which would make sense.

 

ALL 11-87s prior to the switch to RS had seral numbers that began with PC.

I have Special Purpose Turkey serial # PC384830 and original barrel code says "AN". Checks out at 1993. Gets you a little closer. Cheers

I have a serial number # PC293... so I'm wondering what year mine was made, does anyone have any idea? And does it increase the value of the gun?
