There are good arguments for 7 1/2s, and I would buy them in a heartbeat if they were the only available. I've bought plenty, and recently they have been my preference. But I am now leaning towards 8s simply because they make a better skeet/sporting/trap combo and some skeet fields are limited to 8s and smaller.

I believe if 1000 shooters shot 2000 rds of identical shells, with the only differff e.g. nice being 500 we’re 7.5’s and the other half 8’s…….. not one shooter in that thousand could tell one shell from the other.
I can tell the difference!

We had a good target yesterday, in fitasc.
#8 1250 was not "consistent" - could hear shot tickling a target multiple time. 7.5 1300 removed that problem

Yeah, agree, boring as hell...

All answers can be obtained with a box of shells, a roll of paper and a pen.
Not boring, I’m just skeptical. I’m also not at all convinced about big benefits to pattering can be had if your POI is on with actual flying targets. Never in history has one shot shell thrown a pattern identical to another. It’s a moving shot swarm that kills targets.
