I recently purchased an A300 Ultima in 20 gauge with a 28" barrel.

The idea was to set up a subgauge as closely to my A400 xcel sporting without breaking the bank. So I figured an A300 Ultima was the way to go.

Bought it, broke it down and cleaned it (very dirty from the factory). Shot a round with it and was happy.

Then I took my family shooting this past weekend. My son left his gun in the cart and shot the 20. My wife decided she liked it too. Then to everyone's surprise, my 10-year-old, petite daughter said she wanted to shoot it.

With me behind her for safety, she broke a going away target. Might have been luck, but it counts.

It's a fun gun. I may have to find a second job to afford shells. But so far I am very pleased with it.

I own a 20 gauge Ultima, as well as an Outlander. Both are great autoloaders. The Ultima does have extra bells and whistles, but the 12 gauge models are essentially the same as the Outlander.

My Ultima was reliable right out of the box. It can be easily adjusted to just about any shooter. It’s the best value in an autoloading shotgun IMO.
