I have some shells from the 50's, 60's, 70's ect, ect. I shoot my reloads, so I never have to dip into my factory ammo stash.

I buy up anything in 16 gauge, have shells going back to the 20’s.

 

I have duck loads going back to the 20's, too.....'24 to be exact.

 

Would like to see pictures of any one's oldest.

 

Why publicly advertise how much ammo you have? You're just giving ammunition (pardon the pun) to the anti-gunners to use to declare gun owners as nuts who are hoarding ammo so that they can overthrow the government.

Here is some of my vintage ammo. Not hoarded mind you. Just collected from antique shops over the last 40 years or so. All but a few contain the original ammo.

 

It isn't hoarding, it is preparing, and how much I have is none of your business.

I have a lot of original 10mm ammo, having been a fan of the cartridge since day one. I am slowly shooting it, but still have a bunch of Norma, the FBI 190 gr load for the MP5/10, and the original experimental marked Federal load for the FBI 1076, among others. My daughter and I occasionally use some of it, including Black Talons, because it finally dawned on me that I can’t take it with me.

 

My stash is my stash. I have been asked why do you need so much ? My wife has been asked aren't you afraid if there is a fire ? I'm up to about 5k rds of assorted shotshells, I try to keep minimums of powder, 8lbs. Primers 5k. I know my numbers are minimal to what others have, but I look at it as, isn't it great to be in America. Hoarder, far from it, I'm probably shooting 3 to 500 rds a week.

 

I’ve got some older stuff from the late 70’s, early 80’s, mostly center fire handgun loads.
not a lot…….a box or two of this or that.

Ammo Hoarder sounds so judgmental and harsh.

I like to think I’m giving previous homeless ammo and cool dry climate controlled area where they can live comfortably with like minded cartridges until they are called upon to what they were raised to do.

That’s just me. Always looking to be the better person. 😂😂

 

And if we ever go to war and the 28 gauge high brass 1oz load of 5’s, 6’s or 71/2’s is needed I’m ready for a protracted conflict.

I have enough shells for the next seven years or so. No, I’m not planning on overthrowing the government with 12gauge 7.5s, 8s and 9s 🙄.

 

I've got a few flats of duck loads. None of it is dropped in the water and wrapped in freezer bags though.

 

Har Har Har Mr.Fever, They are now organized neatly in the bottom of a .30 cal ammo can from harbor freight with a few silica gel packs to keep them from spoiling or rusting. and the others are in their proper boxes or at least a box that shotgun shells did come in.

 

Hopefully my stash of 20g 7.5's @1250fps will keep me off the radar of local and federal authorities.
