Watching some youtube videos of different big shoots and noticed how his gun's recoil is almost non existent. I know people say it is all gun fit, but everyone at that level has their gun stock custom made. I have heard he shoots 1oz but even then it looks like a BB gun going off. Is this barrel work or forcing cone work? Any ideas? Check the video below:

Not sure any of us can correctly answer it but I wouldn't be shocked. He is a tall, strong and fit dude and the heavier gun would soak up recoil. He often shoots a ton of targets in 3 days at these major events. He posts here from time to time and if he sees this he might answer. would be interesting to hear what he were to share.

Yes, it’s magic. Beretta has captive elves in their factory who conjure special barrels for them.
Go look at the Fabarm TRIBORE HP barrel and choke system. They’ve been using it for decades and yet Fabarm guns have not taken the target gun world by storm due to their amazing barrel tech.

Fabarm make barrels for CG too and I've yet to hear of any barrel convergence problems with CGs. However, Berettas are a different story.

My two MX8's weight 9 lb 1 oz and 9 lb 2 oz. I'm 75. I don't feel like these guns are "heavy" at all. I like the weight for recoil reduction and the "smoothness" they provide. And SERA was right in his post above. That was Matarese shooting his Beretta DT11. I understand he now shoots the "magic wand" Beretta SL2 (all $22,000 worth of it). The claim is that this gun really reduces recoil. May be - I would not know, but it should come with a steering wheel at that cost!

I read where David Radulavich claimed his Perazzi Hi-Tech reduced recoil 30% when compared to his MX-2000. That is difficult for me to understand. The Hi-Tech receiver is something like 1.5 ounces heavier than the MX receivers and that is about the only significant difference. That into and of itself is not going to reduce recoil significantly. That's pure physics. I've talked with a few Perazzi owners of both MX and Hi Techs and they certainly don't see that kind of difference!

Marketing is a wonderful tool to psych people into perceiving something that isn't real!
