So long story short I saved for years to get a really nice sporting o/u and ended up going for a Beretta 694. I called a well respected gun shop that is a Beretta partner/distributor in my area and they said no problem and ordered it from Beretta for me as they didnt have one on hand at the time. I picked it up all was good no problem.
About 150 ish shots in with the new gun I was in my first tournament and was about to shoot and felt a jiggle, looked down and the stock had completely separated from the receiver and was loosely flopping around. I can fit 3 quarters between the stock and reciever, the only thing keeping it from falling off it the trigger guard meeting the stock.
Im so beside myself that a 4k+ gun broke after 150 shots. Beretta has a warranty and gave me a shipping label to send it in for the warranty but I have never dealt with anything like this and would appreciate some advice..... Who is to blame here do I call the distributor and demand answers? Do I demand Beretta give me a refund? Demand they give me a whole new one? Do I make a fuss about it and call them 20 times till I get something else done? I feel like this gun is a lemon and want a whole new one instead of sending it to them and getting a half assed strip of duct tape slapped on it.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated on what I should do.
