Greeting CG section. I venture over here from time to time. Love those CG Challenger and Invictus Ascents!

I wanted to mention this situation and add a link to the posts. I searched for and found a Beretta A400 Parallel Target on the website for Hi Grade Shooters Supply. I needed another A400 PT as a back up gun to my Cole Pro. I also have been semi=-passively shopping for other shotguns. So I looked over there offerings.

Long story short. I called them and purchased the A400. Initially placed a $200 deposit on it in late-May and paid the remaining $1250 when I got back from the SE Regional. FFL Info was shared and Easy deal done.

Bottom line is is is 8/4/2023 and I don't have the gun. Shame on me for not doing more research. I am not the only shooter than has been taken advantaged of by this dealer. The owners wife has been my main and is obviously the kingpin of the con. This is only done to out of town FFL transfer buyers.

Why post here? Well to protect my brother on the forum. I don't want Hi Grade Shooters Supply to get over on anyone else! While I am only out $1,450 it is simply the principal of the matter. And what if I had ordered a $12,000+ Invictus?

Thank you for sharing your experience with this dealer . It would seem that there’s some legal remedy for a straight forward fraud like this .

I got my money back from the credit card company. But I was out that money for from May to August. This has happened to quite a few shooters. They are borrowing tens of thousands of dollars interest free for months on end from the shooting community. Plus it is not 1978 anymore. Most want that new gun purchase in their hands by the end of the week!

They’re liars and cheats, they double charged me for a Perazzi barrel I never received. I had to open a claim with my CC company and wait weeks to get my money back. I got the same BS Story of the barrel is with them at a shoot then it needed to to be looked at by their gunsmith. Crazy how much all these story’s sound the same. These people are garbage.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Yep, the owners wife is in control of the company. She has big time problems with telling the truth. When I posted this, a few people told me I was wrong about them. Most of the people who were local claimed they were good folks. BUT, Phone orders…. we all got screwed. I have heard dozens of stories that were similar to mine And now your!
Buyer beware! Phone orders are NEVER shipped!

This is usually the type of behavior that happens prior to bankruptcy, so it's probably dicey for locals as well unless it's something that you can physically take with you immediately, definitely wouldn't want to leave a deposit on anything there.

I actually met Tracy at the store when I was looking for a gun about a year and half ago. She seemed like a really nice lady and I had a wonderful conversation with her. What did strike me as odd was that the store was almost bare on the day I was there. She told me that all the guns were gone to a local sporting clays shoot that day, but all the reports since definitely make me wonder if they had/have anything at all. They used to be vendors at the PA State trapshoot as well as the Grand American, but stopped a few years ago, again that kinda points toward not having any inventory to sell, dunno.

Their facebook page hasn't been updated in over a year, although I am seeing one or two new used guns on their site that I don't remember from the last time I was viewed it.

As an aside, they are not listed as dealers for any of the new gun mfgs they show on their website: Benelli, Beretta, Blaser, Browning, Caesar Guerini, Fabarm, Franchi, Syren, Winchester. Perazzi doesn't seem to have a list of dealer's, so dunno on there. This doesn't necessarily mean anything beyond that they don't appear to be factory direct dealer's for any lines they sell, they may be able to get them through a distributor instead of factory direct, although for some of the mfgs they list factory direct is basically the only option...

It appears the charges filed so far are from only two instances, one from 2021, and one from 2022. It seems like there are others that didn't get what they paid for based on recent SGW posts, so it seems the ball is just getting rolling on this. 8 felony charges so far.

Anybody that is still owed $ or a gun ought to contact the Westmoreland County DA.

Website isn't really gone, just wiped. Same with their FB page. I'd be surprised if BATFE is quick enough to revoke the license, esp without conviction yet, unless there were other undisclosed issues.

FFL EZ Check shows it's still valid, no clue on how quickly they'd update that site though (I would imagine/hope pretty quick since many people/other FFLs use it to verify a FFL is valid before sending guns to it):

She was arraigned 11/17, the previous post said it was "going to court" 12/1, NOT going to trial, no criminal trial in the country happens 2 weeks after arraignment.

Click the links I posted, most current info says preliminary hearing 2/21 (which has been postponed 2x already). I'd bet it never goes to trial, a plea bargain and settlement will be reached at some point.

The FFL no longer shows up on EZ Check. Kinda surprised the system just acts like it's an invalid number, rather than returning an inactive/revoked result, maybe that's what it looks like when a license in in limbo, dunno.

Skeet Man, Thank you so much for your posts about Tracey McMahan. Bill and I dropped off our skeet guns (2 Krieghoffs and 1 Browning) for her to sell right before Covid set in. We got the run around for years...all lies. Thanks to your post, I contacted the Westmoreland District Attorney's office and spoke with the arresting officer, Detective Bill Brown. He added our name to his list of victims, so if there's ever any restitution, we might get a little something....not holding my breath. Det. Brown told me if she doesn't repay her victims, she's going to jail. He said she does have a nice house in Greensburg, a new truck and nice car. Responding to my comments about equity in her house, he said Tracey told him she would make everything right and pay everyone back.......I reminded him she LIES. I'm just glad she's been stopped and will suffer some consequences. With appreciation, Susie

Looks like additional charges were filed earlier this year.

Article says she was going to plead guilty on previous charges in April, but I can't find anything on PA courts. The additional 2025 charges may have resulted in everything being bundled together, and restarting the process/timeline.

Looks like this was a lot bigger and widespread than initially thought.
