No worries with a Citori 425 if the gun is in good condition and well cared for .

 

Excellent guns. I had one and the only reason that I sold it was the stock had been bent for a lefty, and I never could get it to fit me right.

 

They are excellent guns! I have the very one you speak of. It has shot many a shells between my son shooting it in 4H comps for 8 years and what I shoot now in comps. Keep it greased and it will outlast you.

In toughness and strength and unfortunately in the way it handled.

 

Well built high round count capable with out a doubt. They dont make them the same way anymore imo. Personally though i like my B325s.

 

In my opinion, they were the best of the Citori line.

 

I have to respectfully disagree.The 425 is definitely well made and an excellent buy even today but….. the chopper lump method barrels of the 325 with the .729 bore as well as some hand finishing that was still utilized before they felt the need to cut costs in manufacturing has me the first iteration is the best.🙂

 

If you want a beautiful one, get a brand new 425 from Miller's Gun Center on Guns International.

I sure did.

 

I'm not sure where my 30" Citori Ultra Sporter Plus ('97 mfg) falls in the numerical model order of things, but it's been a great shotgun and still going strong.

ps I checked and it seems my Ultra Sporter Plus was made at the same time as the 425. Not exactly sure of the differences, but it has monobloc barrels.
