Has Browning discontinued making left hand models?

I know I am late to this discussion … But unless they have change recently, Browning makes shotgun stocks that are virtually cast neutral and biased with a palm swell; maybe a 1/16th“ difference in cast.

I have two 725s, one trap, one sporting. The 725 sporting was right handed (swell) but felt good … for a while. I called Browning and bought a left hand (swell) adjustable combed stock. In discussions with the parts department, I asked about the actual cast and was told the stocks are cast neutral, but with a designated swell for left or right.

I would not expect fit to be any other way with the 825s, particularly in the American market.

For most people, this will work. Not for me. I have adjustable combs and butt plates on both the 725s,
and I will stick with them. 825s are not ported And I desire such.

Does anyone happen to know if the 825 trap foregrip (wood) will fit onto the 825 sporting? They look very similar in pictures.

I held at 825 Sporting yesterday and the foregrip just doesn't do it for me. It is better than the Schnabels that Citori sporters used to come with but I still don't like it.

I still rock an Ultra XS Sporting that has got to be 20 years old at this point. When I had a custom rear stock put on mine years ago, a local gunsmith was able to fit a Citori XS Skeet beavertail on mine and I am quite fond of that configuration.

It should. Problem is if you buy one Browning isn't going to send you pictures 1st, so there's no guarantee that it's going to match your stock.

Call browning parts department (option #3). I obtained a left-biased adjustable stock and later a more beaver tail type fore end that pretty much matches the wood series of the 725 Sporting I put it on. It changed the balance the way I wanted.

Caution: have a smith fit it. It’s not exactly a drop in item. I tried to fit it. But it was laborious and I didn’t exactly know what I was doing. I was guessing by example from the 725 Trap model I have.

good luck.

I agree 100% that Browning should offer a semi-beaver tail forend on different models instead of just their trap guns. Their forends on the sporting models are just too narrow for my liking.
