I'm trying to find a reloading recipe for my 16ga sxs. I'm shooting the vintager load from polywad which is a 2 1/4 dram, 7/8oz load which shoots really nice. I've bought the "The Sixteen Gauge Manual" from Ballistic Products to find a similar recipe but am having a hard time translating the 2 1/4 dram to either fps or psi. Any help is appreciated!

Off the top of my head, I would guess 1125-1150 fps. The standard 16 ga field load of 1 oz is a 2 1/2 dram charge at 1160 fps. A loss of velocity due to the slightly lower powder charge would be offset somewhat by the smaller shotcharge.
