Does anyone know what the sporting clays course options are for a single shooter, such as voice activated, delayed pull, trappers available, etc. Thanks.

They have promatic trap systems, which you can set a delay for singles, report or true pairs. On the Super Sporting courses, they have a differant control, but it has a solo selection and you can have one bird, report or true.

No voice activated on sporting, but on the trap fields they do have voice activated.

I am going down for the state shoot and if it works out I will shoot Coyote on Wednesday Jan 31. I might also stay over a couple of days after the state and shoot Coyote some more. I have some friends that are shooting the state, but are coming in on Thursday and returning on Monday, so I will be by myself. Do you know if they have a large ammo supply.

It’s arguably the single most difficult shotgun sport there is. It’s also as arguably one of the most fun. Think of it like wobble bunker where chips won’t count.

First time, use a decent 1 oz load at 1250 or more, screw IM and LF into your gun. Be happy if you get 10 of 30.

I have shot thousands of rounds at Coyote Springs mostly by myself. All stations have a delay system that works well for single shooters. If you want to shoot a lot then a motorized cart is necessary as it can be a long distance between stations. I heard (not fact) there are 7 -8 miles of trails.
They do have ZZ birds but it is not offered every day. I was there 6 weeks last year and never seen it in operation.
I am anxious to go again this year in two weeks. We have a RV and stay on the grounds.

12-ga target loads are everywhere in Tucson right now, and lots of 28-ga. Almost no 20-ga of any brand, though. SW had two boxes, the Walmart on Valencia had 2 boxes (not flats, boxes). Neither Bass Pro not any Walmarts in Phoenix had any 20-ga, either. TT&S will sell you a box of whatever you want for each round you buy from them. Buy ten rounds they will sell you a flat.

When I was in Phoenix for the Cactus Classic in November I had to go to both Bass Pro and Sportsmans, in the Glendale area sorta, to get enough 12 gauge premium shells to shoot the tournament. I pretty much cleaned them out and wound up with a mix of STS, AA, and HOA shells in both 1 and 1 1/8 oz loads, so there wasn't much at those two stores at that time. I imagine there are other stores in the general Phoenix area that have a bigger supply, I just don't know who they are or where they are located. I am flying down for the Arizona State so I need to measure how many shells I purchase as I can't take more than a couple boxes home. I am not very knowledgeable about the new Phoenix. I used to spend time in the old Phoenix in the late 70's and early 80's, it is a whole lot different now. I do like how they have no regard for the speed limit.

Rocky, call Scott Cusanek (the shoot producer) ahead of time. He has plenty ammo.
If you need his number, send me a message.

Spoke to Scott Cusanek this morning. You'll all find this hard to believe, but an ice storm came through yesterday afternoon, and prevented him from doing all the trap cleanup after this weekend's shoot at Ben Avery.

But he said if time allows, he'll jump on here tonight, and start a new thread to let everyone know what he has available for upcoming shoots, and how to purchase/reserve some.
