These auction results amaze me sometimes. Somebody really wanted this gun and was bidding against someone with one Gunbroker transaction and an F rating for non-payment. He really let his emotions get the best of him. This gun had a $1200 reserve and that is the most it is worth in my opinion. It will be interesting to see if there is buyer's remorse and this gun reappears at a reduced price.

If it really does change hands, I hope the new owner is happy. The pictures are lousy, but the wood doesnt look up to the level of the engraving, which is nice if you like that style, but not all that masterful or elaborate. I like the line in the description " one of the best guns ever made ". I think the seller is ignorant to what is really out there or just trying to appeal to those who havent looked at a lot of high-end guns. Also, no mention of barrel length, chokes, condition/wear/damage. Whole thing is shady, I think the "buyer" got worked.
