just saw Remington Game Loads 12 ga 2.75" 1290fps 1oz #8
at wal-mart for 2.98 a box. cheaper by a buck than both Big 5 and Turner's. Can't wait until the opener...not too much longer now!

I bought some of those, adn shot them at trap, good grief! those things kick
I shot some of those winchester super speed 1 oz at 1350fps and they didn't kick nearly as hard, i have no idea why, the remingtons actually had some spark/flame like occurences out the end of the muzzle as well.
It's sad, because the hulls reload really well, but i don't think i'll shoot those black remmie game loads in anything but a gas gun, and even then i'm leary of them, they're really loud, and kick like a mule.

I usuallly don't shop at wal-mart, but my local Academy sells Remington Shur-shot field loads for $3.29 pretty much year round. I haven't checked prices lately to see if they had them on sale or not.

Personally, I'd shoot Federal "Game Shok", Turners has it for $3.98 and patterns MUCH better than the Remington loads.

But, this is what's going in my ammo bag:

1 box of AA 1 oz "xtra-lites" incase the doves are out there and I need a tight-shooting shell.

3 boxes of Federal "Game Shok" for my all-around shooting.

And one box of Remington game loads incase I need a REALLY open pattern.

Good luck everybody!!!!
