Cecil Fredi. When I was heavy into stockmaking (1990-2010) I would tell Cecil I was in the market for an English Walnut blank in the $$$-$$$$ range that had some of these specific features: side-to-side symmetry, mineral streaking, feather crotch, quarter sawn, etc. He would send me photos of a half dozen blanks matching the description. I'd drool over them for days before finally making my pick.
Watts Walnut was also very accommodating with respect to Am Black Walnut. I love bodaciously figured wood, but for certain projects it can be overpowering and just inappropriate.
