Looking for a good golf cart shotgun rack - I've been reading through a few older threads on this topic and I think I've narrowed it down to three options:
1. Suregrip Gun Rack
2. 2-Gun Removable Floor Mount
3. Rugged Gear Swing Arm Holder - 1" U-Bolt with Floor Base
The Suregrip Gun Rack seems like a nice option. The downside is there are no straps, which seems a little odd - that might be a deal breaker for me. The Suregrip Gun Rack has the added support to the cup holder area, which is quite nice.
I also like the Rugged Gear 2-Gun Removable Floor Mount - I'd also add their Fine Gun Holder Covers. The only complaint I've heard about this mount is that it is not as sturdy as some would like. I would have to fabricate a bracket for it to make it more secure, which I'm not crazy about, but probably fairly easy to do.
The U Bolt Holder with Floor Base has been highly recommended by a couple guys on here. Nice thing is it is very easy to install and it might be the least likely option to scratch/damage your gun since the butt of the gun just sits in the Floor Base. I'm kind of leaning this direction at the moment. Probably not as well protected from the elements as having the guns in the center of the cart though.
I'm not interested in the Scabbards at all - I've used these before at a tournament and it just seemed like a great way to scratch your gun over time. I suppose if you kept them really clean they would be OK.
What do you guys think?
Thanks!
