I just noticed this thread... I also enjoy a good 16ga! I currently have 2 Citoris and an Ithaca 37, though I'll probably end up trading/selling the Brownings or having them restocked. Brownings just don't fit me very well. Have to check out the F.A.I.R models mentioned above
I also had a problem with my citori lightening fitting me, finally got the adjustable comb and butt pad

right and now it fits me like a glove, took me 3 years

I have two pumps 16s and an O/U 16. My 1938 Ithaca 37S is as nice a handling field gun as I’ve ever owned. I shoot it as well as any of my O/Us. I still haven’t warmed up to my model 12 16 gauge. I need some more time with it I guess.
My Browning Lightning is a great gun. Love it. Can’t say I shoot it any better than my 37 but I shoot is nearly as well.
I had a Beretta SxS 16. I really liked it but it was cast strongly for a right handed shooter and shot far to the right for me. It had built in lead for a left to right crossing bird. I’m more of an O/U guy anyway. I could have had it bent but it went to a good home and financed the Browning.

My favorite 16 is my 1947 Browning Standard Auto 5 with a 30" barrel and pyramid bead sight. I shoot if for dove season and it is MONEY. full choke and it brings down those high flyers with ease. Love that 16 gauge. Plus it turns 75 years old and still looks like it was new yesterday and its all original. Beautiful wood and 98% original bluing. I love old well built guns.

I have a few different types of 16, O/U, Pump, Semi-auto, single shot. I favor the Semi-autos the most.

Late to the party, but love the 16 and have a few, 1952 870, 1950's Sweet Sixteen, Winchester 97 from 1919 and Remington 48. My dad's Ithaca 37 is still at my mom's house, first firearm I ever fired. Was a present from my mom to him in the early '50s. Keep and eye out for others but SxS and O/Us get a little pricey for me since there's not a competition class for the 16, but have used in the 12 gauge events.

Citroi 16 Gran Lightning w/ 28 in barrels has become my goto field gun for all applications. One of the special order ones from the late Bill Hanus back in the 2005 built on a true 16 ga receiver. The balance on it is exceptional. Also have a Parker VHE and a Winchester 1897 pump. Parker likes 2.5 inch shells so shoot it much less frequently.
