I've never owned a CG and have a quick question... I'm looking an Invictus I M Sport 30" that has been threaded for chokes. The gun being sold with 6 Teague external chokes. It has also had an adjustable comb installed. The gun is in perfect condition. Can someone give me an approximate value?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Most people choose them for the handling benefit of light barrels. Teague thin wall chokes generally add little or nothing to the barrels so it's a fairly popular mod. I know Ivan Reid who runs Teague and he told me they have to mic the M-Spec barrels for wall thickness as not all have sufficient material for the surgery involved.

The M-Spec is rare in 30". A friend bought one and returned it within a week as he found it too light up front, but in fairness he isn't used to modern Italian guns. Pricewise, used ones range from ÂŁ4-5K dependant on the usual things.

Are there marks on an M spec gun that differentiate it from a regular Invictus? The gun I'm looking at has an adjustable comb and has extended chokes. I'm wondering if it wasn't accidentally misrepresented as an M Sport. Forgive my ignorance, I'm trying to learn as fast as I can...

If the gun started life as an M-spec gun it had fixed chokes M and IM. The normal Invictus guns are sold with pre=existing choke tubes installed. The handling dynamics are very different between the 2. A 30" barrel M-spec will be a VERY fast handling gun. The tubes might slow it down a bit but not much. My advice would be to handle the guns because they are different. With added fees for import you probably lost any value gained. I actually just started shooting the 34" M-spec. I tried a few different ones. Steve

As clay man steve said, a 30” M Spec barrel is going to be lightning fast. Most folks in the US who look at the M Spec end up with a 34” barrel as the 32” is too fast and light.

My guess on value is less than half original street price.

Thinwalling a fixed choke gun cuts your audience severely. 30" on a sporting gun here in the US would render it almost unsellable regardless of price. Also if the adjustable comb is aftermarket that hurts value as well.

As with all guns if it fits you perfect and you can't miss with it then its value is beyond measure.

An M Spec with chokes has changed the originality of the gun and thus reduces its value.

I import shotguns from the UK for customers all the time.
The process is long but profitable to all parties depending on the gun Etc.

Your example imo is a ÂŁ3-3500 gun in the UK.

Value here in the US as presented $4-5k
