Kick Eez Pads?

Hi,

I have a Citori GTS, which i believe to be pretty close to a 525. It has the hard rubber pad on it that they all come with. Recently I shot a 625 that had a Kick Eez pad on it and i was quite surprised how much it reduced recoil. The recoil on my GTS doesn't bother me as far as pain or anything, but it made getting to that second shot in Sporting much easier. So anyway, i was looking around Kick Eez's site for one that fit my gun, but it doesn't seem like any of them do which seems odd since Citori's are such popular guns. I don't really want to do the "grind to fit" option either, seems like a bandaid fix. Are there any pads that I can buy off the shelf that will fit? Maybe another brand that has the same properties? tia.

Just had one installed on my Browning XS Skeet and love it. The gunsmith who did it for me also drilled a hole through the recoil pad, which allows me to insert a long allen wrench through the recoil pad so I could remove the butt stock without removing the recoil pad. Simple but great idea  . I would ask your gunsmith to do the same if he install one.

Have you looked at the Kick Eez web site? Some folks also like Limbsaver pads as well as Pacmyer For myself I like the Kick Eez.
I did. I went through all the ones listed on this page http://www.kickeezproducts.com/templates.php and none of them seemed to match my gun. Am I just looking in the wrong spot or maybe I took the wrong measurements? Are all Citoris the same?

You lost me on this one :? Sure it may cost a little more to have a gunsmith install it,but this way you and get the exact type of pad you want if they don't have a pre-fit. Also if needed the smith can change the pitch of your gun before installing the pad,If needed your LOP can be changed as well. Just trying to figure out why you think it's a band aid fix :? :?

Hi JR

The grind to fit option is really pretty common. The stock dim's on Citori's will vary slighty, so this is the way to get it, "just right", for you & your gun.

I have just installed Kick Eez pad's on 2 of my guns after getting the LOP just right for me. I have yet to grind them, but I think it's not too big of a deal.

Here is a short video showing how it's done.
